At Loaf & Lore, accessibility isn’t just a checkbox – it’s personal.
Our goal is to make this website and everything we create welcoming, readable, and usable for everyone.
💛 Why It Matters to Us
Accessibility isn’t a buzzword here; it’s part of our daily life.
Our family includes a visually impaired teen, and I live with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) – an “invisible” disability that often affects mobility and endurance.
Because of that, accessibility isn’t a virtue signal or an afterthought; it’s a value that shapes how we design, write, and share our work.
If something on this site doesn’t work for you, we want to know – and we’ll fix it.
🌿 Our Commitment
We’re working toward full conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, which outline best practices for accessible design.
That means:
- Using clear headings, readable fonts, and sufficient contrast
- Providing descriptive alt-text for all meaningful images
- Ensuring keyboard and screen-reader navigation works properly
- Avoiding flashing, autoplaying, or motion-triggering elements
- Labeling form fields and buttons accurately
- Testing pages regularly for accessibility errors
We also strive to make our downloadable materials, PDFs, and graphics accessible whenever possible.
🧰 Ongoing Improvements
Accessibility is an evolving process, especially for a small creative business.
We regularly review our site using both automated tools and human feedback.
As our site grows, new content will continue to be designed with accessibility in mind – from recipe cards to workshop registration forms.
If you notice something that creates a barrier or could be improved, please tell us. Your input helps us make Loaf & Lore better for everyone.

Accessibility is about dignity, not compliance.

If you ever find a part of this website that doesn’t work for you, please reach out.
We’ll listen, learn, and adapt – because inclusion should feel as natural as breaking bread together.
